When we talk about 'chasing', what is it in your mind? What is it actually you think about? What do you understand about this word? CHASING.
It comes from its root word, 'chase'. If you search for its meaning in any English dictionary, it may shows the meaning such as: 'to go quickly after in order to capture or overtake or drive away; pursue; run after.'
Life is about something that we have to go on, even further or even better so that we can step forward.
But somehow we might ever think that there's something we had in the past, that it makes us to turn around and see what's still left out while at the same time we are supposed to start making a move forward.
And as we've turned back, thousands of mixed- feeling are slowly sneaking in into heart. Feeling of guilty, regret, sick, tired and pathetic, or even a feeling of missing, longing for it. Those kind of feeling seems so haunting. Yet it might then be a kind of distraction, that it finally stops us indirectly from carrying on our forward journey.
And as we stopped, what happened next? Is there any changes seen in ourselves? Or are we still in the same, old place, old circumstances? Or are we actually drowning in our own past?
Think of it. It is us, ourselves who should know better of the answers. It is us, who should figure out the outcomes of what we've done, what we've chosen.
We are just mankind, a powerless human being who have been written by Our Lord, Allah S.W.T for all the things we have in this temporary life. It's our fate. It's our destiny.
Life sometimes forces us to choose. Life sometimes seems so strict as it needs us to decide on something we have to determine. Life sometimes seems so precious and limited that we ought to chase for something we really wish for. Things that we wish to get it, to grab it with hands, to catch it up, and of course we might wish to have it, to own it.
When we got it, we finally owned what we wished for. We finally catched it, as we wanted it so. And we felt like the world is ours, we were so happy for it. An unexplainable gratitude we thanked to Allah for what He gave. ALHAMDULILLAH for it.
But when we didn't manage to get what we wanted for all this while, though we've chased for it as hard as we could, we've tried the best as we could do to own it. However, we failed.
How did we do to face it? How did we accept and take it? :')
Yes, we would be so grieve. We would feel that we're unlucky. Lots of failure words, would surely came out from our mouth. Our mind would be so stucked, thinking of what made it to be like that. Ohh, we would cry cry and cry! Masha Allah... :'(
But, hey! Don't you realize that these sorrow aren't just too much? Don't you realize that these are just a starting for you to get another better thing? Come on, open your eyes! Allah is actually trying to make you realize that everything has its own reason for all that happened. And surely it must be a good reason. In Sha Allah. :')
There are still thousands, even millions of better things out there waiting for you to catch them up.
Sometimes when Allah get you away from something, it means that Allah is actually protecting you.
Allah loves you, Allah wants you to get something better than what you've chased for.
Like somehow you might wonder; why did Allah let you know someone, you've been closed to them, but then at the end you had to let them go after it?
But you never realize that it might be the best way for you, yet it could be a good beginning for you after what you've ended.
Everything happens for a reason, right? :')
Always bear this in your mind that, Allah has a great and better plan for you than what you had for yourself.
Allah knows what is going to be turned up in your life, so it is Allah's decision that He wants you to stay away from something that isn't yours. Allah asks you to stay away from someone that isn't best for you.
So stop searching for it, and you got to stop chasing for it immediately. You must, and you have to.
''....But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.''
(QS: Al- Baqarah, verse 216)
''He's the One who knows you best, He knows what's in your heart.
You'll find your peace at last, if you just have faith in Him.
ALLAH.''
(Lyrics of I Believe by Maher Zain feat. Irfan Makki)
